Perfect little bows

MAKE PERFECT BOWS

This is a short and sweet little post to show you how to make perfect little bows sit straight. Sounds easy everyone can tie a bow! right? Actually if you don't take care you might find that your ribbons sit sideways and a little scewiff/wonky.

This technique can be used with any width of ribbon to make perfectly straight sitting bows for embellishing and trimming your crafts.

Firstly make a loop and pinch the middle tightly.

I am right handed so if you are left just switch the hands around.

NEXT pass your ribbon around the back of this loop.

Pushing your working length of ribbon back through the middle band.

Keeping hold of the middle the whole time

PULL and fiddle with the loops and tails

Until your bow is tight and you have the desired length of loops and tails.

TRIM your tails and marvel at the beautiful little bow you just made!

The REAL SECRET is pinching the middle throughout.

If you add a bead or bell to your ribbon before you start you can manipulate it to sit front and center.

I hope this was a helpful little TIP and that you can utilise this technique in your next craft project.

Until next time, Happy Crafting
