Hi I’m Linzi and this is my blog
I hate writing about myself, I mean its awkward right!? But just in case you’re interested here’s a bit about me:
(If you are not interested just go straight to my blog posts)
I am a 40 something self employed crafter, mother of 2 and wife to my Prince charming. I run a small local creative business in Ramsbottom and Home Educate our 2 girls in the rural town of Helmshore in the Rossendale Valley of North West England.
I’ve loved crafting all my life, studied textiles at college and graduated University with a Degree in Fashion, so its no surprise that I find myself working with fabric in a creative role.
Determined not to get ‘a real job’, and in desperate need of somewhere to hide all my craft stash, I started my own business in 2013 selling printed fabrics online and teaching sewing locally. Thanks no doubt to the success of The Great British Sewing Bee and the resurgence of Arts and Crafts, my little business idea grew steadily and I now have something that I’m very proud of.
Stitch Studio is a modern craft studio premises in Ramsbottom with 3 classrooms where I continue to teach and work in collaboration with a whole host of other talented makers to offer a calendar full of exciting creative workshops. If you are into Craft take a look here www.makeitstitch.com
A self confessed workaholic and not content with working my butt off at Stitch we also home educate our 2 girls, which has actually turned out to be hands down the most rewarding thing I’ve EVER done. To find see what we get up to see Home Ed.
To avoid stress I use Mindfulness meditation, yoga and journaling to clear my head and when I am not sewing or knees deep in times tables and science experiments I also like gardening and vegan cooking so these are all the things I will be writing about here on the blog.
If you got to the end of this essay without nodding off well done and thank you! I look forward reading your comments and maybe seeing you over on Instagram too.
Goodbye for now
